B.J. Upton, the former Tampa Bay Ray, has made up his mind that he will make his decision to sign with a new team soon. He expressed that he would hopefully make it this week. Upton, 28, has put up good numbers over his short career. The Phillies and Braves are the leaders to land Upton, while the Reds and Nationals have expressed intrest in the 28 year old. No matter where Upton goes, look for him to score a huge contract with any team that signs him. He is ranked third on my Free Agent list.

Catcher Mike Napoli, the 10th player in my free agent rankings, has reportably been talking to the Red Sox and Mariners. Last year, for Texas, Napoli hit .227 with 24 HR. There has been no sign that Napoli would re-sign with Texas. The Red Sox have previously signed catcher David Ross this offseason, which may mean they may not want to invest as much in Napoli. We'll have to see how it plays out this offseason.
The White Sox picked up a very nice outfielder. Dewayne Wise, known for catching the fly ball to preserve Mark Buehrle's perfect game in 2009, has just got himself a new contract. Wise re-signed with the Sox to a 1 year, 700,000 dollar deal. Last year, Wise hit .259 with 8 HR and 31 RBI as apart of the Yanks and the Chicago Sox.
The Red Sox filled their need for an outfielder. The Sox signed outfielder Jonny Gomes to a 2 year, 10 Million Dollar Deal. Gomes hit .262 last year with 18 HR, and 47 RBI. He is a career .244 hitter. But, Gomes brings some power to the outfield that the Red Sox. He averages 25 HR if he plays a full 162 game season. He is a very nice addition to this young Red Sox team and I think, if he's healthy, he was signed at a great value for the Red Sox.
