The Reds and Jonathan Broxton could be reuniting for the 2013 season and beyond. The Reds are currently in serious talks with Broxton about a 3 year deal which would keep him there until 2015. In 58 innings this year, Broxton posted a 2.48 ERA. He could really help the back end of the Reds bullpen, which was plagued by injuries to Ryan Madson last year. Broxton might effect on what the Reds do with Aroldis Chapman. We just have to see what the Reds decide to do.

Catcher Russell Martin and the Yankees are discussing a new contract among themselves. Martin could not be heading back to the Bronx, as at least one other suitor has pursued Martin. Talks are hearing up for Martin as he and the Yanks have been talking for a while. The Rangers also have put Martin on the map, especially because Mike Napoli may be leaving for Boston. If Napoli decides to stay in Texas, Martin will most likely be in Yankees pinstripes next year. We'll have to see how this plays out, as Napoli may make a decision soon.
Evan Longoria will be with the Rays for most of the future to come. He and the Rays have completed a contract with Longoria which will keep the third baseman in Tampa at least until 2022, maybe until 2023, depending on a club option. Longoria will be payed $136MM from 2013-2022. He only played 74 games this year due to injury. Without injury, though, Longoria is a threat to do just about anything with the bat and plays the third base postition very well.
Mike Napoli may have a new team very soon. It has been reported that he has visited the Red Sox. This may be a turning point in the contract negotiations for Napoli after not recieving any deal from his former team Texas. He decision could be made soon and it looks like, as of right now, the Red Sox could be bringing in Napoli. Napoli will look elsewere because he has already visited the Mariners and will be visiting the Rangers this week. We'll have to wait and see how this one plays out.
Ryan Madson, the former Phil and Red, looks to be moving on sometime this week. It has been reported that Madson has been in "serious" talks with the Los Angeles Angels. Madson missed all of 2012, after getting hurt in spring training with the Reds. It was believed that he could go back to the Philadephia Phillies, but now his decision to sign with the Angels could happen this week. A long time setup man, Madson stepped into the closer's roll in 2011 after Brad Lidge went down. He has been a setup man every year previously, so he could be used in ethier roll.
