The Yankees and Cubs are in talks over third baseman Alfonso Soriano. It is unclear how close the deal is to being completed, but Soriano will probably be moved within the next 24-48 hours. Names are being thrown around for the Cubs' return, but we do not know the exact details of who might be headed to Chicago.
One day after Matt Garza had been dealt, the Cubs' third baseman could be gone too. It looks like the Cubs could have a real shot within the next five years when all their prospects come to the big leagues. However, any prospect is a risk to some level, no matter how good they look compared to a big leaguer. Soriano already has spent time in the big apple, as he has been on the Yankees for five previous seasons. Soriano is hitting .256 with 17 HR, and 61 RBI on the season.
