Injured Angels relief pitcher Ryan Madson is no longer a part of the team, according to multiple sources. Madson has not fully recovered from Tommy John surgery. The closest he got to returning was pitching a one inning stint for Los Angeles' Single-A affiliate. Madson last appeared in the MLB for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2011 as closer for the club. He had 32 saves in 62 games in 2011. He also posted a 2.37 ERA. Since his stint for the Phillies, Madson has signed deals with the Reds and Angels, in which he made $6 MM and $3.25 MM, respectively. Madson, if healthy, would still be a very nice option for a club looking for immediate bullpen help. The healthy part is obviously the problem, as he has not been able to pitch in the MLB since 2011. He recieved his surgery in 2012.
