The Angels and left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc agreed to a deal today with a Spring Training Invite. LeBlanc, 29, has a career 4.51 ERA in six years in the majors. He has played with the Padres, Marlins, and Astros in his career. His best season was in 2010, when LeBlanc went 8-12 with a 4.25 ERA in 146 innings pitched. LeBlanc was selected in the second round of the 2006 First Year Player Draft.
The Diamondbacks and infielder Jason Bartlett agreed to terms today, as he will be joining them on a minor league contract with a Spring Training Invite. Bartlett, a nine year veteran, has a career .271/.336/.366 line with 31 HR and 286 RBI. He last appeared in the major leagues with the San Diego Padres in 2012, playing in 29 games and hitting .133/.240/.193. The Blue Jays signed a trio of players to minor league deals with Spring Training Invites today. Right-handers Michael Broadway and Marcus Walden will be joining shortstop Jonathan Diaz on minor league deals today. Broadway is a career minor leaguer, pitching in nine MiLB seasons. Walden has more promise, having only played in as high as AA in six MiLB seasons, all with Toronto. Diaz appeared in five games for the Boston Red Sox last season.
