Here is a quick injury report on three players that have currently been in the news, Domonic Brown, Brett Gardner, and Stephen Strasburg.
Brown: Domomic Brown hopes to return this season, as he wants to finish the season with at least 30 homers. Currently sidelined with a nagging Achilles injury, Brown took batting practice yesterday, and may be able to return soon. I expect him to return within the next week or so. Gardner: The Yankees horrible injury luck this season just got worse, as their leadoff hitter Brett Gardner might miss the rest of the season due to a Grade 1 strain in his rib cage. Gardner leads the AL with 10 triples to go along with .273/.344/.416 slash line. Strasburg: The Washington Nationals have scratched Stephen Strasburg from tonight's start against the Philadelphia Phillies due to "forearm tightness" in his throwing arm. No other details have been announced. Ross Ohlendorf will take the ball in place of Strasburg tonight.
