The Red Sox and Dustin Pedroia have reached an extension that is believed to be 7 years, for roughly $100 million. This will keep Pedroia signed from 2015 to 2021. He will have full no trade rights in this extension.
Pedroia has been with the Red Sox his entire career, staring in 2006. The 29 year old is hitting .308 with 6 HR and 57 RBI. He also has 13 stolen bases. Pedroia has been Boston's second baseman throughout his career, and it seems that it will be that way until his career ends.
