How Long Will it Take? When will the Chicago Cubs Win the World Series?

The Chicago Cubs are 105 years removed from their last World Series title in 1908. They will most likely miss the playoffs again, and enter 2014 106 years away from their last title. When, and if, they win another title, people will wake their sleeping children and make sure they wittness the Cubs winning the World Sereis. People have been born and died Cubs fans, and have never had a team win the World Series.

When will the Cubs win the Series? When will they get back to playoffs? It's truly unknown, but the Cubs are restocking their farm system slowly and carefully. The trade of Matt Garza played a big role in this, and continued to show that the Cubs are retooling for the future, and are really trying to set themselves up for a run. Other moves such as the signing of Jorge Soler, also proved that the Cubs are in fact looking to dominate for years to come.

Cubs fans, you should be looking forward to the future of this ball club, because the future is bright, and looking to come into the big leagues. It's hard to know what has been keeping the Cubs off the boards for all these years. It is most likely poor general managing, or too much pressure to get back, or just some serious bad luck in the Cubs organization.

The Cubs have not had a winning record since 2009, have not made the playoffs since 2008, and haven't won a pennant since 1945. They have a lot to do, and are on the right track. In 2014, I believe the Cubs will begin to improve, and by 2017 could win the NL Central. But, that's just speculation. All in all, they've got to worry about 2013.
