We know speed kills in baseball, but boy is Billy Hamilton going to make opposing pitchers and ball-clubs mad. Take today's fifth inning for instance. (The Reds were playing the Cardinals.) Hamilton singled to left, stole second base, moved to third on a sacrifice fly, and scored on a fly ball to shallow right that Kolten Wong (the Cardinals SECOND BASEMAN) almost caught. Don't believe me? Here is the video clip: Hamilton had three hits in the game, and his hitting .192 (5-for-26) on the season. That stolen base was his first of the year, and likely the first of many more to come.
